Thinking about the thousands of Americans in vicious combat against Nazi troops at the Battle of the Bulge today. We should honor men like Paul Bolden, who earned the Medal of Honor for his heroic leadership today, 79 years ago!

Bolden was a Staff Sergeant in the 30th Infantry Division who assaulted a Waffen SS block house, tossing grenades in the windows and clearing room by room. Repulsed in his first attack, he stayed in the fight and killed over forty no-joke Nazis.

Bolden was not alone, and his fellow soldier and friend, Russel Snoad, with whom he fought side-by-side against the Nazis, was killed in the action. Snoad received the Distinguished Service Cross posthumously.

After the War, Bolden received the Medal of Honor from President Truman. He returned to Alabama, farmed, married & had four children, before passing in 1979. Honor & remember Paul Bolden & Russel Snoad, incredible Americans who inspire us to greatness in our own lives!
