The air fleet will take off at 2300 hours on June 5 with two paratrooper divisions onboard.
Your flight will take you south by southwest to the west side of the Cotentin Peninsula, east across Normandy, and then back to England.
A submarine emitting a homing beacon will signal you to turn east towards Normandy.
Refer to Map 1 to see your flight path.

Crossing Normandy takes no more than fifteen minutes. Be aware of the Allied fleet as you cross to the other side of Normandy.
Your flight speed should be no more than 120 miles per hour.
It is crucial that you keep in formation and are aware of the other planes around you. There will be thousands of planes in the air on D-Day. Remember what happened during Operation: Husky.

You will see light winds with clear weather and high visibility over Normandy - but this can change!
