Gordon Craig Medal of Honor

Gordon Craig earned the Medal of Honor posthumously on this day in 1950. A son of Brockton, Massachusetts, Craig was part of the 1st Cavalry Divisions reconnaissance company when he threw himself on a North Korean grenade to save the lives of his fellow soldiers. Honor and remember him!

Donn Porter Medal of Honor

Honor and remember Donn Porter, who earned the Medal of Honor posthumously on this day in Korea for single-handedly fighting off a communist assault, first with small arms and his machine gun, then with a knife. He killed six enemy with the knife before he was killed by an artillery shell.
