Herman Wallace earned the Medal of Honor posthumously for his selflessness in Germany, when he triggered a mine but had the courage and presence of mind to not move until his fellow soldiers had cleared away, saving many of his fellow Americans lives, but being mortally wounded in the resulting explosion. Honor and remember him!
