January 26 USS Pueblo’s Ordeal

Starting today with the story of the USS Pueblo, because what these men endured has always affected me. The USS Pueblo was commandeered by by North Korean forces on this day, and a sailor, Duane Hodges was killed by enemy shells. Her 82 other crew members were starved and regularly tortured before their negotiated release eleven months later. The USS Pueblo is still a captive of the North Koreans. Honor and remember these Americans.
