Much respect for Royal “The King” Bake, one of America’s premiere fighter pilots in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He shot down his tenth enemy MiG on this day, becoming a double-ace over Korea. He had flown 272 combat missions over Europe and another 140 in Vietnam. Honor and remember him!
