September 11 Never Forget

Never forget the attack on America on September 11, 2001.  Honor and remember all Americans killed, and especially those who rushed into danger to help their fellow citizens.

September 10 Gordon Craig Medal of Honor

Gordon Craig posthumously received the Medal of Honor for diving on a grenade and saving his buddies’ lives. Part of the 1st Cavalry Division, fighting around the Pusan perimeter Craig was a recon scout.  From Brockton, Massachusetts, Craig joined the Army in 1948. September 9 James Logan Medal of Honor

James Logan, an Army Sergeant, earned the Medal of Honor for single-handedly capturing a German machine gun team in Italy. He survived the War, earning the Distinguished Service Cross, the Bronze Sat and the Purple Heart during his service. He passed away in 1999 in is buried in the Texas State Cemetery in Austin. September 7 Donn Porter Medal of Honor

Sergeant Donn Porter earned the Medal of Honor for his tenacious leadership in fighting off a two platoon attack on his small outpost. He killed fifteen enemy in the first attack, and six more in a follow on assault.
